President Major (retd) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed has summoned the third session of the 13th Parliament to convene on Thursday (August 27).
Parliament Secretariat Public Relations Division-1 Director Monir Hossain confirmed the decision through a press release signed on Tuesday (August 11).
According to the release, the President convened the session in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the Constitution of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. The session will take place at the Parliament Chamber in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka.
"In exercise of the powers conferred by Clause (1) of Article 72 of the Constitution, I, President of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, hereby summon the third session of the 13th Parliament to meet at 3:00PM on August 27 at the Parliament Chamber in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar," the notification stated.
