BGB opens new BOP in Panchagarh 

PANCHAGARH, Aug 14: BGB’s North-West Region Commander Brigadier General ASM Naser inaugurated a new BOP (Border Outpost) named Madhupara in Panchagarh Sadar Upazila on Thursday afternoon by cutting the ribbon and hoisting the flag.
At the inauguration ceremony, the Region Commander said, “BGB is working very carefully on the border to ensure effective surveillance, prevent human and drug trafficking, and smuggling.”
He also said, “This BOP was inaugurated between the 22-kilometre border between the Tokapara and Ghagra BOPs of Nilphamari 56 BGB. We hope that this BGB camp will play an effective role in preventing all types of smuggling. I believe that the inauguration of this BOP will further increase the operational capacity of the Nilphamari Battalion.” 
BGB’s Thakurgaon Sector Commander Colonel Mohammad Suruj Mia, Nilphamari 56 BGB Commander Lt Colonel Taifur Hasan Mahmud and senior BGB officials were present at the event.
After the inauguration, the BGB Region Commander took part in the parade and hoisted the national flag with state honours and later unveiled the nameplate of the BOP by pressing the switch.
