Measles claims 8 more lives

Eight children died with measles-like symptoms across the country in the past 24 hours, while 798 children were diagnosed with measles or measles-like symptoms during the same period.

With the latest eight deaths, the number of children who have died from measles and measles-like symptoms over the past five months has surpassed 900.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) disclosed the information in its latest measles update issued on Saturday afternoon.

According to the bulletin, eight more children died with measles-like symptoms in the past 24 hours. However, no child died from confirmed measles during the period.
