Eight children died with measles-like symptoms across the country in the past 24 hours.
During this period, 798 new cases were reported.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) released the updated measles report on Saturday (August 15).
According to the report, another eight children died with measles-like symptoms in the past 24 hours. This brings the total number of death to 803 since March 15. Another 99 children have died after being infected with measles.
In total, 902 children have died from measles and symptoms during the period.
Meanwhile, 70 children were diagnosed with measles and 728 reported measles-like symptoms in the past 24 hours. During the same period, 700 children were admitted to hospitals, while 549 were discharged.
According to DGHS data, a total of 141,776 suspected measles cases have been reported since March 15, while 17,800 cases have been confirmed. Of the total patients, 123,494 have been admitted to hospitals, and 119,089 have already been discharged and returned home.
