Sohel Engineering’s protest and our reply

Sohel Engineering & Construction Ltd. has protested the report titled ‘Procurement irregularities raise questions over use of taxpayers’ money’, published in the Daily Observer’s August 13, 2026 issue.
In a protest letter, company’s Managing Director Abdul Aziz claimed that the allegations raised against them in the report are ‘wrong, baseless and misleading’. 

He also claimed that the information published in the report about RHINO Equipment USA is also misleading. 

The Daily Observer’s stand: The report was prepared following valid documents and comments from the relevant authorities including company’s Managing Director Abdul Aziz. We have more information about the company for future publications.
