The government will launch an ‘Expatriate Card’ for Bangladeshi migrant workers by the end of this month, State Minister for Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment and President of the Gono Odhikar Parishad Nurul Haque Nur said on Wednesday.

He added that cardholders would receive priority in receiving treatment at government hospitals. The card would also play an important role in resolving various problems faced by expatriates while staying in the country.
Munshiganj-3 lawmaker Md Kamruzzaman Ratan attended the programme as the inaugural guest, while Bangladesh Students’ Rights Council President Nazmul Hasan was the main discussant. Gono Odhikar Parishad General Secretary Hasan Al Mamun and Munshiganj District Council Administrator AKM Iradat Manu were present as special guests.
