NSTU VC congratulates newly elected president Mirza Fakhrul

Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md Golam Rabbani has congratulated BNP Secretary General and former Local Government Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on his election as the 23rd President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

In a congratulatory message issued on Thursday (August 20, 2026), the vice-chancellor said a new chapter in the country’s democratic journey would begin under the capable and strong leadership of the President, who also serves as the Chancellor of NSTU.

He expressed hope that higher education in Bangladesh would become more dynamic under the President’s wise guidance, particularly through greater practical applications of science and technology and the expansion of high-quality, internationally recognised research.

Professor Dr. Golam Rabbani said he was delighted that an experienced and veteran politician had been elected to the country’s highest constitutional office. He expressed confidence that President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, as a patriotic leader, would make a significant contribution while discharging his important responsibilities as head of state.

The NSTU vice-chancellor also wished the President good health, long life and overall well-being.
