Popular Bangladeshi singer Asif Akbar has expressed deep gratitude to composer Rajesh Ghosh, whom he credits with creating many of the biggest hits of his career.
On Rajesh Ghosh’s birthday, Asif shared an emotional post recalling how the composer helped shape his second album following the success of his debut album, 'O Priya Tumi Kothay'. Asif said he was uncertain about how to arrange the second album after a one-year gap, so he specifically approached Rajesh Ghosh. During a session at Asif’s home, Ghosh played a song he had composed and written, 'Bondhu Tomake Janai Biday', which immediately convinced Asif that Ghosh was the right choice for the project.
According to Asif, within six months, Ghosh helped create a series of popular songs, including 'Ekaki Gobhir Rate', 'Kemon Acho Tumi', 'Bhulte Pari Na Sathi', 'O Pashani', 'Priyotomare', 'Abhimani', 'Tumi Bolo Alo' and 'Tumii Sukhi Hou'. Asif described Ghosh as an accomplished lyricist and said he entrusted him with selecting the lyricists for the songs, while Asif focused on suggestions and vocals. He also said his record company, Soundtek Electronics, was responsible for financing and policy decisions.
“Rajesh Ghosh is the composer behind the highest number of songs in my career. His creations have given me the protective shield of freedom,” Asif wrote. He also praised Ghosh as a singer with exceptional vocal ability and described him as a cheerful, humble, selfless and peace-loving person.
Wishing Ghosh on his birthday, Asif wrote that he has always held him in the highest regard and expressed hope that his brother would continue to live a joyful life filled with music.
