A tough time lies ahead: presenter Samia

Model and anchor Samia Afrin completed her third chemotherapy session on Saturday as part of her ongoing cancer treatment.

Sharing a picture from her hospital bed on social media, she gave an update on her health condition and requested prayers from fans for the tough days ahead.

"The next few days might be a bit difficult, but InshaAllah I will recover quickly," Samia wrote. "My only prayer is that cancer never returns to my body again."

Reminding followers that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, she urged everyone to stay cautious about their health. She emphasized that timely screening, regular check-ups, and early detection make a huge difference in cancer treatment.

Following her post, several media personalities-including Moushumi Nag, Nipun Akter, Zakia Bari Mamo, Shahnaz Khushi, Dipa Khandakar, Tanvin Sweety, and Fahmida Nabi-expressed their support and wished her a speedy recovery.

Samia Afrin has been battling cancer for nearly five years. She was diagnosed with colon cancer in April 2022 and recovered after undergoing treatment in Singapore. However, she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer earlier this year, for which she underwent surgery and is currently receiving chemotherapy.
