Humayun Ahmed would have cast me if alive: Adolf Khan

Fashion designer, model, and instructor Adolf Khan expressed his deep desire to act, stating that legendary filmmaker Humayun Ahmed would have cast him if he were alive today.
Adolf Khan built a distinct identity over years of working in Bangladesh's fashion and entertainment sectors. Now, he aims to become a regular presence in mainstream acting.
He recently signed up for a new film titled Gulshaner Chameli.
Reflecting on his passion for acting during a recent interview, Adolf shared his thoughts on the late iconic author and director.
"I firmly believe that if Humayun Ahmed were alive today, he would have picked my character," Adolf said. "If he saw my capabilities and versatility, he would have utilized my talent in some way."
Adolf highlighted the rich diversity of characters in Humayun Ahmed’s dramas and films.
"Every character in his works was important, even domestic helps or housemaids. Take Moti Mia's character, for example. You cannot separate one character from another in his creations. Every role held its own significance," he added.
He noted that Humayun Ahmed's unique strength lay in crafting extraordinary roles out of ordinary people. Adolf believes working with such a director would have allowed him to showcase his acting potential fully.
"I would have definitely sought an opportunity to work with him if he were alive. Truth be told, I always wished to work with him and see myself in the types of characters he created," Adolf stated.
He added that his long experience in fashion and stage performance will aid his acting career across dramas, films, and web content.
