
Southeast Bank PLC has signed a participation agreement for a Tk 41,000 crore fund aimed at implementing the financing packages announced by Bangladesh Bank. The agreement was signed at Bangladesh Bank headquarters recently.
The financing facility is part of Bangladesh Bank’s broader Tk 60,000 crore integrated liquidity support framework. The initiative primarily aims to contain inflation, restore financial discipline and ensure adequate financing for productive economic activities, according to a press release.
Dr Md Kabir Ahmed, Deputy Governor; Md Sarwar Hossain, Deputy Governor; and Md Abdul Mannan, Director of the Research and Data Management and Analytics Department, along with other senior Bangladesh Bank officials, were present at the ceremony.
Southeast Bank PLC was represented by Abidur Rahman Chowdhury, Managing Director, and Md Rashedul Alam Khan, Head of Treasury.
