Seven senior police officers transferred

Seven senior police officers, including Additional Deputy Commissioners of Police and Assistant Superintendents of Police, have been transferred in a single move.

The transfers and new postings were announced on Thursday (September 3) through two separate notifications and an office order issued by Police Headquarters.

Under one notification, Md. Manzurul Alam, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police of Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP), has been transferred and posted as Additional Superintendent of Police in Sylhet.

The same notification also transferred Tania Sultana Eva, Assistant Superintendent of Police at the Police Staff College in Dhaka, to the Police Training Centre in Tangail as an Assistant Superintendent of Police. A. N. M. Niamat Ullah, Assistant Superintendent of Police of the Hakimpur Circle in Dinajpur, has been transferred to Dhaka Special Branch (SB) as an Assistant Superintendent of Police.

The same notification further transferred Md. Abu Hasan and Abdullah Al Mamun, both Assistant Commissioners of Police with the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), to Dhaka SB as Assistant Superintendents of Police.

Meanwhile, under a separate office order, Md. Khalid Borhan, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic-Administration, Planning and Research), has been transferred to the DMP’s Discipline Division as Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Discipline-2).

Under the same order, DMP Additional Police Commissioner Zakir Hossain Suman has been transferred and posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic-Administration, Planning and Research) in the office of the DMP Additional Commissioner (Traffic).
