India crushes Pakistan in Women's Asia Cup

India secured a convincing seven-wicket victory over Pakistan in the Women's Asia Cup after bundling out their arch-rivals for a record-low total.

Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Pakistan collapsed to just 55 runs in the face of a fierce bowling attack. The total marks Pakistan's lowest-ever team score in women's T20 international cricket.

The Pakistani batting line-up crumbled under spin pressure from India's Sri Charani and Preema Rawat. Both bowlers picked up three wickets each to dismantle the opposition.

In reply, India comfortably chased down the 56-run target, reaching 57 for 3 in just 8.4 overs.

Pakistan's Fatima Sana generated brief excitement by removing three Indian batters with only 29 runs on the board. However, Harmanpreet Kaur and Deepti Sharma steadied the chase without further damage.

Harmanpreet sealed the victory in style by hitting a six.

With this triumph, India maintained their top spot in Group A with three consecutive wins. During the match, opener Shafali Verma became the youngest player to reach 3,000 runs in women's T20 international cricket.
