Post-Messi Argentina: Will Scaloni stay to lead the rebuild?

The retirement of Lionel Messi is a big turnover for Argentina. But a new question surges regarding the future of Lionel Scaloni after Messi announced his retirement. 

Though Scaloni told the media that he would continue until December at least.

The difference is pretty clear between the phases of Argentina with Messi and without Messi. But the Scaloni effect made him compete with his own self and bring the best out of the team.

Though, the retirement of Messi was quite predictable after the world cup, it had its impact on everyone after it happened. Meanwhile the fans are afraid that Scaloni might leave the team at this point.

Logically speaking, if Argentina loses Lionel Scaloni right now, they might be in great danger. As they would lose their coach, the whole team would require a reform. 

Forming a new team without Messi and Scaloni is a challenge but it creates a chance of a fresh start for Argentina. They already have players from 2022 world cup champion team and 2026 runners up team.

After the world cup in Russia, Argentina wrote their most successful parts of the history. With Scaloni, the task would be easier this time. After the retirement of Messi, Scaloni becomes a must have option for Argentina. As two of the FIFA windows are approaching during September to December, the team combination keeps drawing more attention.

Argentine Media informs that Scaloni would announce the team for upcoming FIFA window. The team will no longer include Messi, but the new members should look forward to it. Scaloni is now ready to reconsider his decision he made after the world cup final and that leads the fans to more hope.

Scaloni said the position he’s in, it’s his dream and he would miss the experience after he’ll retire. 

He also said that he’d prefer to stay with Argentina team rather than any club as it comes with more pressure. Scaloni loves to cycle in his free time and he’s afraid of losing this opportunity if he involves himself into something more.

Despite all the rumors, the members of the board still thinks Scaloni would continue to coach the team. They want introduction of new rules and conditions as the future of Argentina gets blurred.
