The Chairman of Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC), Dr. Md. Mahmudur Rahman, inspected ‘Jamuna Fertilizer Company Limited’ located in Tarakandi, Jamalpur, on September 5.
During the inspection, the BCIC Chairman toured the current condition of the factory’s various plants and machinery and reviewed the progress toward restarting the factory. He also inquired about fertilizer supply in the godown, the distribution system, and overall operations. Later, he took part in a discussion meeting with the factory management authorities, says a press release.
Subsequently, the BCIC Chairman conducted on-site inspections of the godowns and sales centers of local fertilizer dealers ‘Messrs Rana Enterprise’ and ‘Messrs Chanmia Traders’ of Jagannathganj Ghat. At that time, he examined the current fertilizer stocks in the dealers’ godowns, the sales situation at the farmer level, documents related to sales at the government-fixed price, and overall sales activities.
After exchanging views with the fertilizer dealers and reviewing overall fertilizer management, the BCIC Chairman confirmed that there is no shortage of any kind of fertilizer in the said area.
