Dear Sir,
Dhaka Central University, comprising seven traditional colleges of Dhaka, was established as Bangladesh’s 57th public and 5th autonomous university to reduce students’ academic sufferings. Unfortunately, delays and uncertainties since its inception are now causing fresh concerns about their academic future.
During its proposed stage, students for the 2024-25 academic session were admitted. Due to various complications, their classes commenced in January 2026. The Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka Central University stated in an interactive meeting with students that there would be no session jam for the 2024-25 academic session. Their examinations would be held within August, and the lost months would be compensated for gradually each year.
However, August has passed, yet the examination routine has not been published. Meanwhile, first-year studies at almost all other universities have already been completed. Therefore, I sincerely request the university administration to hold the examinations promptly and prevent session jam.
