DRU celebrates 31st anniv

The Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) celebrated its 31st anniversary on Thursday with various programmes under the slogan “Unity and Prosperity” at its premises in Segunbagicha.

The day-long programme began at 10:00am with the hoisting of the national and DRU flags. BNP Acting Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi inaugurated the celebration by releasing balloons and doves, symbolising peace. A colourful rally was later brought out from the DRU premises.

The programme was presided over by DRU President Abu Saleh Akon and moderated by General Secretary Mainul Hasan Sohel. DRU Organising Secretary and Convener of the Anniversary Celebration Sub-committee M M Jashim and Executive Member and Member Secretary Mahfuz Sadi delivered the welcome addresses.

The event was supported by event management firm SASS.
