BKB holds branch managers’ confce in Bagerhat

BAGERHAT, Sept 11: Bangladesh Krishi Bank (BKB) organised a conference-2026 of all branch managers and loan officers of Bagerhat region at the conference hall of the Tourism Hotel in Bagerhat Sadar on Friday morning with Md Abu Hashem Mia, general manager of BKB’s Khulna region as the chief guest.

Chief Regional Manager of BKB’s Bagerhat region Md Tarikul Islam chaired the programme, and Deputy Principal Officer of the bank Pratik Das moderated the event. Other speakers included Divisional Audit Officer of Khulna Subhash Chandra Saha, Deputy General Manager Shahnewaz Mohammad Mostafa Faisal, Regional Audit Officer of Bagerhat Md Enamul Haque, and Assistant General Manager of Bagerhat Chief Regional Office Md Jaglul Kabir.

In his speech, the chief guest reviewed the bank’s business performance during the previous fiscal year and provided guidelines for achieving 100 per cent of the targets for the 2026-27 fiscal year. These targets include deposit mobilisation, disbursement of agricultural and SME loans, training and loan disbursement for women entrepreneurs, and recovery of defaulted loans.

At the beginning of the conference, President of the BKB’s Zia Parishad Toha Hossain, General Secretary Md Barek Ahsan, Assistant General Manager and Head of Bagerhat Branch Sirajul Islam, and Parishad leaders M Rezaul Kabir and Sheikh Tajul Islam welcomed the chief guest with floral greetings.
