Father challenges Minister Rabiul’s discharge

A Dhaka court has set Sunday for a revision hearing on a petition challenging the discharge of Road Transport and Bridges Minister Shaikh Rabiul Alam and eight others in the murder case over the death of Deepto TV broadcast official Tanjil Jahan Islam Tamim.

The hearing will be held in the court of Dhaka’s 13th Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge Zahidul Islam, bench assistant Sohel Mia said. He told bdnews24.com that the revision hearing had initially been scheduled for Aug 27 but was later deferred to Sept 13.

Tamim was attacked at his home in the Metropolitan Residential Area under Hatirjheel Police Station on Oct 10, 2024.

He was taken to hospital in critical condition, where doctors declared him dead.    �"bdnews24
