The long-awaited concert of Pakistani band Kavish, which was postponed for security reasons, is finally set to take place on September 26 in Dhaka, nearly 10 months after it was originally scheduled. Popular Bangladeshi bands Shironamhin and Meghdol will also perform alongside Kavish at the concert.

Organisers Prime Wave Communication announced the new date on their official Facebook page last Saturday (September 12). The event, previously titled Wave Fest: Feel This Winter,” has been renamed Wave Fest: Enjoy the Full Moon.” However, the organisers have not yet disclosed the venue, citing security concerns.

According to the organisers, those who purchased tickets in advance for last year’s event will be able to attend the concert using their existing tickets. New tickets are also available through the online platform Tickify. General tickets are priced at Tk 2,999, while VIP tickets cost Tk 5,499.

The concert, featuring Kavish, Shironamhin and Meghdol, was originally scheduled to take place in Dhaka on December 5 last year. However, the event was postponed after the organisers failed to obtain permission amid the overall situation in the country at the time.

Formed in 1998 by Jaffer Zaidi and Maaz Maudood, Pakistani band Kavish performed in Bangladesh for the first time in January 2025. Their popular songs include Bachpan,” “Tere Pyar Mein,” “Mora Saiyaan,” “Neendia Re” and Faasle.”

Meanwhile, the two Bangladeshi bands featured in the concert have also been releasing new music for their fans. Meghdol recently performed with West Bengal-based band Chandrabindoo at a concert titled Megher Songe Chander Dekha in Kolkata. The band has also released its new song Mulluk on Coke Studio Bangla.

Shironamhin, meanwhile, has recently released a new song titled Shopner Ticket alongside its regular concert performances.
