At least five people were killed and seven others injured when a Russian drone struck a passenger bus near the front line in southeastern Ukraine on Wednesday (September 16), Ukrainian officials said.
The attack took place in the Nikopol district of the Dnipropetrovsk region, where the bus was travelling on a regular route, according to local authorities.
The injured were taken to hospital for treatment. The strike came amid continued Russian drone and missile attacks across Ukraine.
Nikopol, a city on the Dnieper River, lies close to the front line and opposite the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.
