Fifteen more people died of dengue and measles-related symptoms across the country in the 24 hours from 8am Tuesday to 8am Wednesday.
During the same period, 1,320 people were newly diagnosed with suspected or confirmed measles. In addition, 1,753 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country, the highest number of dengue hospital admissions recorded in a single day this year.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) provided the information in separate press releases issued by its control room on Wednesday.
According to the measles-related release, eight people died with measles symptoms in the past 24 hours. From March 15 to September 16, a total of 944 people have died with measles symptoms.
No one died from confirmed measles in the past 24 hours. However, 100 people have died from confirmed measles between March 15 and the morning of September 16.
