Gen Waker off to Japan for Asian Games

Bangladesh Army chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman has left for Japan on a four-day visit.

He departed on an official visit on Wednesday, the Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR) said.

During the trip, he will attend the opening ceremony of the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya as president of the Bangladesh Olympic Association.

He will also attend sporting events at the Games and hold bilateral meetings with senior officials of the Asian Games and Olympic Association.    �"bdnews24
