EC holds meeting on local Govt elections

The Election Commission (EC) will hold a meeting with different ministries, departments and authorities on Thursday to prepare for the local government elections and the by-election in Thakurgaon-1.

The meeting will begin at 2:30 PM at the EC Secretariat in Agargaon, Dhaka. The Chief Election Commissioner will chair the meeting, with other election commissioners attending.

A letter signed by EC Deputy Secretary Mohammad Monir Hossain said the meeting will discuss preparations for the elections.
