Abul Khayer appointed director general of PMO

Joint Secretary Abul Khayer Mohammad Hafizullah Khan has been appointed Director General of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard on Wednesday night, placing his services at the PMO for the new assignment. Khan was serving as a joint secretary at the Local Government Division.

In a separate notification, the government transferred the PMO’s incumbent Director General, Dr Ahmed Ullah, to the Ministry of Commerce as an additional secretary.

Meanwhile, another notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration said Joint Secretary Md Hussain Shawkat has been transferred from his position as director at the Khulna regional office of the Directorate of Technical Education.

He has been appointed Deputy Registrar General at the Office of the Registrar General, Birth and Death Registration. Shawkat had earlier been ordered to be transferred as a member of the National Housing Authority. His services have now been placed under the Local Government Division.
