Curb Dust Pollution at Mohammadpur Bus Stand

Mohammadpur Bus Stand area in the capital suffers from severe dust pollution, particularly due to heavy traffic involving large vehicles. Vehicles frequently kick up massive clouds of dust, reducing visibility and creating a hazy atmosphere. A major reason is the poor condition of the road, which has numerous bumps, potholes and depressions. Soil and dust accumulate in these uneven sections and are widely dispersed by the friction of vehicle tyres.

This excessive dust causes immense suffering for pedestrians, school and college students, commuters, local business owners and residents of the surrounding areas. Airborne dust also poses serious health risks, including respiratory distress, asthma, allergies and eye inflammation.

Given the situation, I urge the authorities concerned to take immediate steps to repair and smooth the uneven road sections at Mohammadpur Bus Stand and the Beribadh three-way intersection to safeguard public health and well-being.
