The government has not decided to remove the mural depicting the surrender of Pakistani forces at Suhrawardy Udyan and replace it with a fountain, said Liberation War Affairs Minister Ahmed Azam Khan on Wednesday.
The minister made the remarks while responding to questions from journalists after a courtesy meeting with Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dinesh Trivedi at the Ministry.
Asked whether a fountain would be built in place of the mural depicting the surrender of Pakistani forces, Ahmed Azam Khan said reports to that effect were incorrect.
