The University of Dhaka held a day-long training workshop for 108 newly-recruited teachers on Wednesday.
The workshop, titled “Induction Workshop for Newly Recruited Faculty Members”, was organised by the university’s Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at the Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban.
Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education) Prof Dr Abdus Salam opened the workshop as the chief guest. He urged new teachers to avoid discriminatory and biased behaviour towards students.
He also called for joint efforts to make the university more research-based and improve its education and research to international standards.
