
RANINAGAR, NAOGAON, Oct 4: Two police boxes have been inaugurated along the Naogaon-Natore regional highway in Naogaon District to strengthen public safety and law enforcement.
The facilities, one in Raninagar and the other in Atrai, were opened on Sunday noon near the Boroboria railway crossing in Raninagar at 11 am and near the Thoioipara railway crossing in Atrai.
Naogaon-6 MP SM Rezaul Islam said the police boxes were built with funding from his personal fund and under the planning and supervision of Naogaon Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohammad Tarikul Islam.
Among those attending the ceremonies were SP Mohammad Tarikul Islam, Raninagar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Rakibul Hasan, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Nabila Yasmin, Raninagar Police Station (PS) Officer-in-Charge (OC) Zakaria Mondal, Project Implementation Officer Nazrul Islam, Upazila BNP President Eshaq Ali and General Secretary Mosharraf Hossain, Atrai UNO Moniruzzaman, Atrai PS OC Mahbub Alam, and local BNP and Jubo Dal leaders Abdul Jalil, Taslim Uddin and Khorshed Alam.
