Govt reshuffles 24 senior police officials

 
The government has transferred 24 senior police officials, including three officers of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) rank, and given them new postings.

The Home Ministry issued three separate notifications signed by its deputy secretary Tousif Ahmed on Sunday.

Under one of the orders, Special Response Unit (SRU), formerly known as the Anti-Terrorism Unit, DIG Dr Md Akkas Uddin Bhuiyan and Special Branch (SB) DIG Md Mahmudur Rahman have been posted to the Police Staff College.
