Stocks extend losing streak 

Stocks on Tuesday witnessed a downward trend due mainly to selling pressure in most securities as investors remained cautious amid expectations of lackluster corporate earnings and persistent domestic headwinds.

The DSEX, the broad index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), fell 20.4 points to settle at 5,425 points, compared to 5,445 points in the previous trading session.

The market opened on a positive note, with the index rising to an intraday high of 5,480 points. However, selling pressure intensified afterward, pulling the index down by nearly 60 points from the day's high and pushing most securities into negative territory.�"BSS
