Bangladesh were bowled out for 346 on the second morning of the Abu Dhabi Test on Saturday, adding just 29 runs to their overnight total of 317 for eight against Afghanistan.

The visitors had dominated the opening session on Friday, with Tanzid Hasan and Shadman Islam putting on 124 runs for the first wicket.

However, Afghanistan fought back strongly to put Bangladesh under pressure.

Tanzid scored 83 off 71 balls, hitting eight fours and four sixes, while Shadman made 67 off 111 deliveries with seven boundaries.

After the opening stand was broken, Bangladesh lost five wickets for 101 runs. Mominul Haque scored 39, while captain Najmul Hossain Shanto contributed 29. Experienced batter Mushfiqur Rahim was dismissed for a duck.

Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz then steadied the innings with a 62-run partnership for the sixth wicket. Litton scored 53 off 89 balls, while Miraz made 24.

However, Afghanistan continued to take wickets at regular intervals. Mohammad Saleem Safi claimed three wickets, while Yamin Ahmadzai and Ismat Alam took two each on the opening day.

Bangladesh resumed on 317 for eight on Saturday but managed only 29 more runs before losing their remaining two wickets, ending their first innings at 346.
