Youth killed by train in Dhaka Cantonment

An unidentified young man, aged around 25, was killed after being hit by a train in Dhaka Cantonment on Saturday morning.

The incident occurred around 7:30 AM near the eastern side of Dhaka Cantonment when the man was walking along the railway tracks and was struck by a Dewanganj Commuter train, said Muhammad Abdur Razzak, a sub-inspector of Dhaka Railway Police.

His body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue around 5pm for an autopsy after legal procedures.

Police said the deceased was wearing a brown T-shirt and mesh-coloured trousers. The Criminal Investigation Department’s crime scene unit has been notified to help identify him.
