ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) marked its 20th anniversary in Dhaka with an event themed “Dare to Innovate.” The event celebrated ROG’s two-decade journey in gaming.
The event brought together esports players, gaming enthusiasts, technology reviewers, and industry stakeholders to mark the milestone and explore the latest developments in gaming technology. As part of the celebration, ASUS launched five new gaming laptops and announced a nationwide online esports tournament, says a press release.
The newly launched models are the ROG Zephyrus Duo (GX651), Zephyrus G14 (GU405), Zephyrus G16 (GU606), and ASUS TUF Gaming 16 (FX610).
The ROG Zephyrus Duo was a key highlight of the launch, featuring two 16-inch OLED displays designed to support gaming, multitasking, and content creation. The dual-screen setup allows users to play games on one display while keeping chats, guides, or other applications open on the second. It also offers additional screen space for tasks such as video editing and graphic design.
The Zephyrus G14 and G16 combine slim, lightweight designs with performance suited to gaming and other demanding tasks, offering portability for users who need computing power on the move. The ASUS TUF Gaming 16 emphasises durability and reliable performance for everyday gaming.
Alongside the laptop launches, ASUS announced ROG Showdown, an online esports tournament with a total prize pool of BDT 100,000. The competition will be open to players across Bangladesh, providing an opportunity for local gamers to compete and showcase their skills. Details on registration and match schedules will be announced through ASUS and ROG’s official social media channels.
