Biman Bangladesh Airlines has suspended all flights to Riyadh indefinitely amid ongoing attacks in Saudi Arabia, citing passenger safety concerns.
In a statement issued on Saturday (October 17), the national flag carrier said further decisions on Riyadh-bound flights would be announced in line with instructions from Riyadh airport authorities.
Biman plans to resume flights to Dammam from October 21, subject to approval from the airport authorities, the statement said.
Meanwhile, flights from Dhaka to Jeddah and Medina are operating normally, allowing passengers to travel to Saudi Arabia through the two international airports.
The airline said larger-capacity aircraft would continue operating on the Medina route until Sunday (October 18), before regular Boeing 787 services resume on October 19.
Biman is also operating additional flights on the Jeddah route to meet passenger demand.
Passengers have been advised to contact their nearest Biman sales centre for updated flight schedules and information on tickets and bookings.
