Unimart has launched a customer-focused initiative, ‘Apnar Shostite Amader Ananda’, (Your Comfort, Our Joy) to make everyday shopping more affordable, offering competitive prices on more than 3,500 essential products through operational efficiencies, direct sourcing and reduced profit margins.
The initiative aims to ease pressure on household budgets without compromising product quality or service standards.
“In the current market environment, the cost of everyday essentials has become an important consideration for households. Standing by our customers means not only ensuring quality products and services but also making a genuine effort to ease their daily shopping expenses,” said Gazi Mahfuzur Rahman, Chief Executive Officer of Unimart, says a press release.
As part of the initiative, Unimart is optimizing resource use, reducing waste and adopting energy-saving measures, including greater use of natural daylight and more efficient air-conditioning management at its outlets.
The retailer is also strengthening direct sourcing to reduce intermediaries and procurement costs while maintaining closer oversight of product quality and authenticity throughout sourcing, storage and handling.
In addition to these cost-saving measures, Unimart is accepting lower profit margins on selected essentials to offer customers more competitive prices. The initiative is supported by the collective efforts of its employees, partner brands and suppliers.
Through ‘Apnar Shostite Amader Ananda’, Unimart aims to deliver greater value to customers while maintaining its commitment to quality and service.
