National Award-winning Indian singer Iman Chakraborty and her troupe members were allegedly harassed and insulted by airline personnel at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport in the United States.

The singer detailed her ordeal during a live video broadcast on social media following the incident, which occurred while she was traveling to perform at a Durga Puja event in New Jersey.

Chakraborty alleged that despite holding valid boarding passes, American Airlines staff barred her and her band members from boarding their scheduled flight without offering a valid reason. She further stated that when they protested and sought clarification, airline staff acted rudely and physically pushed them away from the boarding gate.

The singer also raised serious concerns over the mishandling of her team's valuable musical instruments, adding that airline officials refused to accept responsibility in the event of any damage during transit.

The confrontation forced the troupe to miss their scheduled flight. While an alternative connection was arranged, the delay created significant uncertainty for their upcoming performance. Fans and social media users reacted with outrage, calling for strict action against the airline staff involved.

Chakraborty later confirmed that she and her team eventually arrived safely in Philadelphia and were preparing for their scheduled show.
