The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has alleged that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was held at Delhi airport on Tueaday (October 21) for around three hours after returning from Paris and was issued a Rs 50,000 challan, according to India today.
AAP Punjab media in-charge Baltej Pannu claimed that airport officials delayed Mann’s departure over his luggage before issuing the challan. He alleged that the incident was intended to humiliate the chief minister and undermine Punjab’s dignity.
The party linked the incident to alleged obstacles imposed by the BJP-led central government on Mann’s foreign visits. However, AAP did not specify the official reason for the challan, and no immediate response from airport authorities was reported.
