The US Embassy in Dhaka has warned Bangladeshi nationals that their US visas could be revoked if they are arrested, potentially leading to deportation and ineligibility for future US visas.

In a post on its verified Facebook page on Saturday (October 24), the embassy cautioned visa holders about the possible immigration consequences of an arrest.

“If you are arrested, your US visa may be revoked,” the embassy said, adding that the individual could be deported from the United States and deemed ineligible for a US visa in the future.

The warning highlights the potential consequences of arrest for foreign nationals holding US visas, although the specific outcome may depend on the circumstances of each case.

Earlier this month, the embassy issued another warning stating that involvement in theft could lead to visa revocation and permanent ineligibility to enter the United States.

The latest advisory is part of the embassy’s public messaging on visa compliance and the possible immigration consequences of criminal conduct.
