Pakistan pulled off a remarkable one-wicket victory over England in the ODI tri-series in Lahore on Sunday (October 25), as Shadab Khan scored his maiden ODI century to rescue his side from the brink of defeat.

Chasing 242 for victory at Gaddafi Stadium, Pakistan were reduced to 154-9 before Shadab and Haris Rauf produced a record-breaking partnership to turn the match around.

Shadab remained unbeaten on 113 off 96 balls, hitting 13 fours and five sixes, while Rauf contributed an unbeaten seven. Their unbroken 89-run stand for the final wicket became the highest 10th-wicket partnership in a successful ODI run chase.

Earlier, England were bowled out for 241 in 46.4 overs. Ben Duckett top-scored with 105 off 111 balls, while Sam Curran added 42. Pakistan captain Shaheen Shah Afridi led the bowling attack with four wickets for 46 runs.

Pakistan completed the chase in 47.1 overs, securing a dramatic victory and a place in the tri-series final. Shadab was named Player of the Match for his outstanding performance.
