NCP dissolves women wing’s central body

The National Citizen Party (NCP) has dissolved the 53-member central committee of its women's wing, Jatiya Narishakti, seven and a half months after its launch, replacing Monira Sharmin as convener with lawmaker Mahmuda Alam Mitu.

Nusrat Tabassum, previously chief organiser, has been appointed member-secretary, while Manjila Jhuma becomes chief organiser. 

The NCP announced the partial three-member committee on Sunday. A notice stated that the committee was dissolved and a new one approved under the directives of NCP Convener Md Nahid Islam and Member-Secretary Akhtar Hossain. The new leadership has been asked to form a full committee within 15 days.
