NID server shut down temporarily over cyber attack fears

The Election Commission has temporarily shut down the National Identity (NID) server following concerns over potential cyber attacks.

Officials from the NID wing of the commission confirmed the development on Wednesday.

Muhammad Ashraf Hossain, System Manager of the NID wing, stated that their technical team is actively working on the issue and the server will be restored as soon as the maintenance work is complete.
