Tamannaah breaks silence on Annu Kapoor’s remark

Actress Tamannaah Bhatia has responded to controversial remarks made by veteran actor Annu Kapoor about her skin tone and physical appearance, nearly a year after the comments sparked criticism on social media.

However, Tamannaah said she does not want to dwell on such remarks and prefers to focus on her work and future career plans.

Speaking at a recent event, the actress said listening was an important part of being a creative person, but knowing what to accept and what to ignore was equally important.

“As creative people, one of the most important things we do is listen. But it is also important to understand what we are listening to, what we should accept and what we should ignore,” she said.

She added that giving importance to such comments could make it difficult to move forward in life.

“I don’t even look at these things. I focus on my work, what I want to create and how I want to take my acting career forward,” Tamannaah said.

The actress also described her work as a form of service to people, saying she believes that work done with genuine intentions reaches its audience.

The controversy began last year when Kapoor commented on Tamannaah’s appearance while discussing her performance in the song ‘Aaj Ki Raat’.

Praising her beauty, he said, “Mashallah! What a fair body, like milk!”

His remarks about the actress’s complexion and physical appearance drew criticism on social media, with many users describing them as inappropriate and sexually suggestive.

Tamannaah has now shared her response, saying she would rather concentrate on her creative work than give attention to such comments.
