Gas supply across the country will remain reduced from November 4 to 7 due to emergency maintenance at Summit's LNG terminal in Maheshkhali, Cox's Bazar, PetroBangla has said.
In a notice signed by PetroBangla Deputy General Manager (Public Relations) Tarikul Islam Khan on Sunday, the state-owned corporation said customers would experience low gas pressure during the period.
The notice said regasification operations at Summit's LNG terminal would remain suspended from 8:00 AM on November 4 until 4:00 PM on November 7.
As a result, daily gas supply to the national grid will fall from 920 million cubic feet to 600 million cubic feet, a reduction of 320 million cubic feet.
The reduced supply may cause low gas pressure for residential, commercial, industrial and power sector consumers, among others.
PetroBangla said similar maintenance work was carried out in December last year.
The corporation expressed regret for the temporary inconvenience caused to consumers.
