Ashik Saeed appointed new GMP commissioner

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Md Ashik Saeed has been appointed the new commissioner of Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP).

The Home Ministry’s Public Security Division issued a notification appointing him to the post.

Before his new appointment, Saeed served as DIG of Rajshahi Range.

He previously held several important positions in Bangladesh Police, including commissioner of Barishal Metropolitan Police (BMP) and DIG at Police Headquarters.

Officials concerned expect him to play an important role in maintaining law and order across Gazipur, particularly in its industrial areas, and improving police services.
