A criminal court in Kuwait has sentenced a Bangladeshi expatriate to death for the premeditated murder of a friend following a dispute, Gulf News reported on Wednesday.
The court delivered the verdict on Tuesday, convicting the man of intentional and premeditated murder, according to the Kuwaiti Public Prosecution.
Prosecutors said the victim had posted private photographs of the defendant’s wife on Facebook and refused to remove them despite repeated requests.
The defendant told the court that his friend had taken the photographs during a visit to his home without his wife’s consent. He said he repeatedly asked his friend to delete the images after offensive comments were posted about his wife.
