IDEB to celebrate 56th anniv on Nov 8

The Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB) will celebrate its 56th founding anniversary and National Engineering Day 2026 with weeklong programmes from November 8 to 14.

The announcement was made at a press conference at the IDEB building in Kakrail, Dhaka, on Friday.

The programmes include a discussion meeting, rally, blood donation campaign, family reunion and free technical consultations at district offices across the country.

Social Welfare Minister Professor AZM Zahid Hossain will inaugurate the anniversary celebrations on November 8.

This year's theme is 'Skilled Diploma Engineers, Developed Country — Bangladesh First'.

IDEB leaders stressed the need to modernise technical education and develop skilled human resources to meet emerging technological challenges.
