At least 30 people have been killed or injured in an airstrike by the Saudi-led military coalition on Al-Waziyah market in Yemen's Taiz province, Houthi-affiliated Al-Masirah TV reported on Friday (November 6).
Citing local sources, the television channel said the casualty figure was preliminary and could rise as rescue teams continued searching for victims at the market.
The sources also reported that warplanes were still flying over the area while rescue operations were underway.
In a separate report, Al-Masirah said intense airstrikes had hit the Hamdan area of the capital, Sanaa, targeting two wells. Airstrikes were also reported in the Majz district of Saada province.
Artillery shells and rockets were additionally fired at several other districts in Saada, near the Saudi border.
The latest attacks come amid escalating hostilities between the Saudi-led coalition, which supports Yemen's internationally recognised government, and the Houthi rebels.
On Wednesday, Houthi rebels also launched a missile attack on an international airport in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, Saudi-led coalition spokesperson Turki Al-Maliki said a drone had been intercepted in the Makkah region on Friday.
