US warns citizens in UAE over Houthi, Iran threats

The US Embassy in the United Arab Emirates has urged American citizens to exercise “heightened vigilance” amid increased threats of armed attacks by Yemen’s Houthi movement and potential targeting efforts by Iran.

In a post on X, the embassy warned of increased threats of armed attacks from the Houthis and Iranian efforts to target US government officials.

It also advised American citizens to remain alert to possible flight cancellations, airspace closures and other travel disruptions.

The warning came after the US diplomatic mission in Saudi Arabia issued a similar security advisory.
