The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has instructed all secondary schools and colleges across the country to form committees to prevent drug abuse and eve-teasing, with a three-day deadline for compliance.
The directive was issued in a letter signed by DSHE Assistant Director Md Rezaul Karim on Sunday (November 8), following a decision taken at the National Security Intelligence (NSI) National Security Committee's monthly meeting on Thursday (November 5).
The committees will comprise teachers, guardians, local government officials and public representatives. Educational institutions have been asked to confirm the formation of the committees within three days and submit reports to the DSHE via email.
The move aims to strengthen institutional efforts to prevent drug abuse and eve-teasing among students.
